Thanksgiving Evening
Thursday November 26th, 2009 6-8pm
Yes, we will be open Thanksgiving night!  Omaha’s Holiday Lights Festival kicks off at 6pm with the illumination of over one million twinkling lights on the Gene Leahy Mall.  Bring your family downtown to celebrate the season — then stop by for a hot mocha.

National Day of Listening
Friday November 27th, 2009
On the day after Thanksgiving, set aside one hour to record a conversation with someone important to you. You can interview anyone you choose: an older relative, a friend, a teacher, or someone from the neighborhood.  Make a yearly tradition of listening to and preserving a loved one’s story.  The stories you collect will become treasured keepsakes that grow more valuable with each passing generation.  Come to the Sabbath Room at Soul Desires, and we’ll provide you with questions and recording tools.  You can also generate your own questions at www.storycorps.org.  Call 898-7600 to let us know you’re coming.
